Change – It Happens To All Of Us

“If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies” – Unknown

This world we live in is changing every single day; just as our personal and professional lives. Whether we like it or not, we all experience change at some point in our life.

Change is not always such a dreadful thing and happens for a reason. It is not always easy to deal with it in many scenarios. Yet, we need change to progress and be more successful in life as a whole. A business for example, cannot grow without change. Sometimes it doesn’t even make sense why some changes occur. One way or another, we find out why it occurred; whether it is a week later or several years later. Nonetheless, it all happens the way it’s supposed to happen for you, for others, and for life.

I believe most of us have come across the “Y” in the road. Where you stumble across realizing a decision needs to be made on which direction you choose to go. We fall in the trap of second guessing our decisions; wondering about the “what if’s”.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.

I feel that IF I made a mistake choosing a particular direction, then my life will come back around full circle. I will be back to a particular place I was at before, if that is my destined path. The only difference is I will come back to that scenario with a much different perspective. Which I feel is a more improved position to be in. This is why I continue to believe in change and accepting it for what it is. Eventually it will make sense later if it doesn’t already in the moment.

Here is a perfect example of that from my own life. I moved to Charlotte, NC about six years ago and I never thought I would move back to Tampa. Aside from visiting family of course. Things changed in my life when I was living in Charlotte, but I was still adamant on not moving back to Tampa. I was planning on moving to the West coast as a matter of fact.

Coming back to Tampa was the best option for me and it was a huge change I wasn’t prepared for. Here I am back in Tampa now for a couple years, where I feel I came back to for more reasons than one. This is where I belong in my life right now; maybe not forever, but for now it is what is best for me.

I never regret any decision I make in my life. Even though I feel if I did things different, it could have gone another way. I still always fall back on it happening for a reason.

I learn something with every choice I make and it all happened the way it was supposed to happen for my life. There is no point in stressing over how my life would be if I chose the other path; I already made my decisions. I stick with my choices and trust in them as well as my journey.

I have discovered and learned more about myself than ever before over the past six months. In particular the last two months. As of lately, with how hard change has been in my life, I’m looking at it in a positive light. Soon I will find out the reasons; as will you. Patience is a virtue. Live in the moment of experiencing the change.

Allow yourself to feel the emotions during the time it’s materializing. For me, writing down my thoughts during the movement of change works wonders. Yet it may not work for everyone.

I love analyzing and understanding the situations I or others go through. I find it interesting to discover the root of the circumstance. If I can recognize the true meaning without only having my opinion in the way.

One way or another, there’s always that “Ah Ha” moment where I understand why one event happened in my life. Change will always happen. Accept it. Understand it. Learn to love it. Be positive!
